The Wyoming Highway Patrol has confirmed at least one fatality in an early Tuesday morning accident near Muddy Gap.
A head-on collision between a tractor-trailer truck and SUV occurred around 5:25 a.m.
It took place near mile post 58 on Wyoming Highway 220.
When Highway Patrol troopers arrived at the accident, they said both vehicles involved were on fire.
At least one other person involved in the crash sustained serious injuries.
The stretch of Highway 220 was closed for over seven hours while crews investigated and cleaned-up the accident. Traffic was re-routed around the wreck, causing delays for travelers.
No further information, including ages or identities of those involved was released by WHP.
