Arts in Action Fremont County Painted Piano removed from Riverton City Park Bandshell

Arts in Action has reported one of the three painted pianos residing in Riverton is damaged. It appears a milk-based liquid was poured over the piano keys causing them to warp and break. Whether this was intentional or accidental is being investigated by the Riverton Police Department.

The piano has been removed and Arts in Action hopes they will be able to repair the damage. If it cannot be repaired, they plan to repurpose the painted portions of the piano into something else the community can enjoy.

The other two pianos in Riverton can be found under the Kusel’s awning on Main Street and at the Riverton Branch Library.
