Two motorists were arrested in Casper after admitting to authorities that they had been traveling to Casper from Arizona, and had kept two children in the trunk of their car for the trip.
63-year-old Michael Fee and 31-year-old Amber Fredenstein both pleaded guilty to two misdemeanor counts of child endangerment during their initial court appearance in Natrona County Circuit Court Thursday.
The Casper Star-Tribune reports that a third party notified Natrona County Sheriff’s that the children were being transported in the trunk of the vehicle for the over 900-mile drive.
Two German shepherd dogs sat in the backseat of the vehicle. Fee said in court that there was not enough room for everyone. Court documents show the children are 6 and 10 years old.
