(Riverton, WY) – The switch from Riverton Regional Airport to Central Wyoming Regional Airport is almost complete as updates are being finalized to the building, according to City of Riverton Public Works Director Kyle J. Butterfield.
The airport is considered a primary commercial service airport (more than 10,000 enplanements a year), according to the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems, and discussions of a name change have been in the works since last year to better reflect the needs of Wyoming travelers.
ABC Signs, in conjunction with Yeates Construction, completed the upgrade, which included the removal of the old letters, refinishing the facade, and placing new letters.
The airport is “very pleased” with the end product of the improvement and is “excited to see the terminal reflect its official name.”
