Air quality in areas of Fremont County currently listed as ‘unhealthy’

(Fremont County, WY) – The Fire and Smoke Map is showing the air quality sensor measurements in Lander and Riverton as “unhealthy” due to the wildfire smoke in the area. They recommend everyone keep outdoor activities “light and short” and those with sensitivities should “consider moving all activities indoors.”

Earlier today, we shared the Air Quality Division of the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Air Quality Alert which includes all of Fremont County. It was set to expire at 1 pm, however, it has been extended through 1 pm on Wednesday, September 1st.
