    Active COVID positive cases up in Fremont County; hospitalizations down

    The Fremont County Incident Management Team has released the following statement and statistics today, October 19th.


    Current Statistics for Fremont County COVID-19:

    • 893 Total Tested Positive (124 probable)
    • 817 Recovered
    • 186 Active Cases in Fremont County
    • 14 Deaths due to COVID-19
    • 8.6% Percentage of positives to total tests
    • 2 Current Hospitalizations due to COVID-19

    Contact Tracing for Fremont County (if you are not a tribal member) is being done through the Wyoming State Public Health Department. If you believe you have been exposed please contact Wyoming Public Health through the email [email protected]. The email account is monitored 24-7. If you are a tribal member, continue to contact Wind River Cares for contact tracing. Also, please call Fremont County public health at (307) 857-3677 or (307) 856-6979 if you have symptoms of questions about treatment.

    Fremont County is experiencing a continued rise in COVID-19 cases per week. The positive cases per week have been growing steadily since late August.

    If you are socializing or working inside with groups, please maintain 6 feet of separation minimum, wear a mask, and continue sanitation discipline. Also please call public health at (307) 857-3677 or (307) 856-6979 if you have symptoms.

    Disease symptoms which may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure, include fever, cough, shortness of breath of difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.

    Older residents and people with certain health conditions have a higher risk of developing more serious illness.
