Around the world, violence against women has increased during the pandemic, and the Fremont County Alliance Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault has been meeting the needs of Fremont County women with increasingly scarce resources. Soroptimist International of Riverton has been delivering some items and with October being Domestic Violence Awareness Month, is now asking the public to help.
On October 17th SI Riverton members will be at Smith’s from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, asking everyone to purchase and donate even just one personal item to help re-stock the Women’s Shelter. A wish list of needed items is shared below.
Paper products:
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Kleenex
- Baby wipes
Personal care products:
- Liquid Handsoap
- Body wash
- Shampoo/Conditioner
- Hairbrushes, NO combs
- Epsom salt
- Deodorant
Please, NO hand sanitizer, toothpaste, toothbrushes, mouthwash.
