#Activate10: “Teddy Bear Toss” planned for Riverton basketball games February 21

Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Riverton High School basketball fans are encouraged to bring a teddy bear, or two, along with them to the last home games of the season February 21st.

Fans will get the opportunity to toss the bears onto the court at halftime of the boys game. All stuffed animals will be collected and donated to the Riverton Police Department and Fremont County Alliance Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault. The animals are given to children who may need help coping with stressful situations.

Riverton’s boys game against Rock Springs is scheduled to tip-off around 7:30 p.m. and the toss should be shortly after 8:00 p.m.

Those who wish to help but cannot make it to the games can contribute directly to RPD or Fremont County Alliance Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault.
