#Activate10: Lander BPOE Lodge #2317 organizes silent auction for member David Dempster

Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Back in February, County 10 shared fundraisers were in the works for Lander resident David Dempster to help cover the expenses his road ahead with Stage 5 Kidney Disease will bring.

As we know, several events and plans were postponed due to COVID-19. One of those being the spaghetti dinner and auction fundraiser Lander BPOE Lodge #2317 planned for David in late March. Since hosting a dinner doesn’t look to be in the cards any time soon, they decided to have the auction at City Park during the Lander Farmer’s Market on Saturday, June 20th.

You’ll be able to find them at the Farmer’s Market entrance near the fireman’s drill area, shared organizer Peggy Wolfe. A donation bucket will also be available. Folks will be able to bid on items from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Those bidding on items are asked to include their phone number. “We will start calling people starting at 12:00 pm.”
