#Activate10: GoFundMe set up to benefit local couple fighting for their future

“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”

Riverton couple Ray and Dawn Clark both became ill with COVID-19 on October 22nd, which completely shut down their business and only source of income, C&C Lock and Key. According to Dawn, the couple became so sick that when Ray felt he needed to go to the hospital, he had to drive himself to the ER.

Without a source of income and an uncertain future for their business, Ray’s sister set up a Gofundme for the couple.

From the Gofundme page: “He [Ray] found pneumonia and started to improve. Then the doctors found a large blood clot in his lower lungs. On November 19th the doctors in Riverton, WY decided to sedate him and care flight him to Casper, WY. Extreme heart damage was then discovered. He has been on a ventilator since arrival. Ray owns his own company and is the bread winner for his family. Please consider donating to help cover monthly bills. Any amount can help.”

The Gofundme page can be found here with a goal of $10,000. As of this post, $5,405 has been raised.
