#Activate10: Giving those stranded in Fremont County a place to turn
Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.

Representatives from the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office, Riverton Chamber of Commerce, Volunteers of America, and local churches met last week to discuss setting up a “Travelers’ Fund.” The money would provide transportation assistance for folks stranded in Fremont County to get home or to a neighboring city that offers more resources to help them.
The “Travelers’ Aid Society” is in the very preliminary phases of creating the fund and have invited anyone interested in helping move this program forward to attend their next meeting after the first of the year. The meeting is scheduled for 10:30 am on Tuesday, January 7th, 2020, at the Riverton Branch Library.
