“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”

(Lander, WY) – 22-year-old Lander resident Steven Wood passed away on November 7th after a 20 year battle with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Family and friends have started fundraising for his mom, Deedee Wood, to help cover expenses. Donations can be made online through the GoFundMe campaign or directly to Atlantic City Federal Credit Union under Steven’s name.

“Steven graduated high school in May of 2021,” his cousin Shidawn Visconte shared with County 10. “He woke up every day with a smile on his face no matter how much he hurt or how awful he felt. He pushed through and never once complained about his life.

“He was the light of our lives; he made our family closer than any family I’ve ever met.”
