#Activate10: Fundraiser for student with brain cancer planned at Tuesday’s Lander Vs. Riverton basketball games

Fans attending tonight’s (Tuesday) Lander Vs. Riverton basketball games are encouraged to help donate to a 9th grader who is battling a rare type of brain cancer.

Lander Valley High School freshman Raiden Haberman was diagnosed with Chordoma. Chordoma is a rare brain cancer that occurs in the bone at the skull base and spine.

According to LVHS Activities Director Serol Staufenberg, Raiden has undergone three surgeries and next will go through eight weeks of radiation.

In lieu of an admission charge for tonight’s games, both Lander Valley High School and Riverton High School hope you’ll donate to the young man and his family. All money raised tonight helps with medical and travel costs.

Varsity girls action begins tonight at 6:00 p.m. from LVHS, and the boys tip around 7:30 p.m.
