#Activate10: First-ever flock of flamingos fundraiser for local school

    “Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”

    (Lander, WY) – Now through May, the Academy of the Winds Montessori School is hosting their first-ever flock of flamingos fundraiser to raise money for student scholarships.

    The flock can be spotted in a yard on 9th Street right now, but they will head to a new temporary home in the near future as the fundraiser continues.

    For a donation, you can send a flock to a friend, family member, or anyone in the Lander area for that matter. If you’ve been flocked, make a donation to the school to have them removed.

    Flock insurance can also be purchased if you’d rather not have several pink flamingos hang out in your yard – the suggested donation for that is $10.
