#Activate10: Coffee Time has the details the Lander VFW Post 954 & Auxiliary mural contest

“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”

(Lander, WY) – 1330 KOVE AM / 107.7 FM’s Coffee Time host Vince Tropea recently sat down with Forest Parker and Bob Keiser from the Lander VFW Post 954 & Auxiliary, who stopped by to chat about an upcoming mural contest the VFW is putting on.

The VFW is in the process of renovating the building, and planning on having three, mobile murals to place outside that showcase a military or patriotic theme.

They are currently looking for mural submission sketches from any individual or group, (college, high school, and middle school artists are welcome as well!), which should include “the artist name, contact number, email and title of work on the back of the sheet they have sketched their proposal on.”

Submissions may be dropped off in an envelope at the VFW Club in Lander, seven days a week between the hours of 2:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Selected artists will need to provide a material list, but the VFW will provide the necessary materials for the murals when the time comes.

1st place prize will receive $500, 2nd place will get $400 and 3rd place $300.

Submissions are due April 30th by 9:00 PM.

Check out the full Coffee Time interview with Parker and Keiser below, which begins around the 5 minute 20 second mark.
