#Activate10: Barn Bash for electrical improvements

(Riverton, WY) – Local nonprofit, Friends of the Fremont County Fair, has organized their first-ever fundraising Barn Bash for the evening of March 20th at the Fremont Center.

They are hoping to raise $75,000 for electrical improvements in the show barns. If enough money is left over, they also hope to put in a new lamb and goat wash rack – the current one isn’t as user friendly and has potential safety issues.

When the barns were built fewer electrical items were used, noted Friends of the Fremont County Fair Treasurer Cinde Pfisterer. “We are just trying to make it easier and safer for the kids.”

Tickets are $30 per person and corporate tables are available for $500. The evening is family-friendly and begins at 5:30 pm. Dinner includes a roasted pig in a pit and begins at 6:30 pm. The evening includes a short live auction (10-12 items), a silent auction, and games.

If they are able to meet their goal, they hope to have the electrical fixed by the upcoming fair season.

Those who would like to donate, but cannot make it to the Barn Bash can mail checks to the PO Box 6058 in Riverton.
