#Activate10: 5 ladies shave their heads, raise thousands for friend

“Our community is large and wildly diverse, which is at the same time our strength and our weakness. #Activate10 is a movement seeking to increase communication between individuals and organizations across Fremont County and to promote positive action in our communities.”

(Fremont County, WY) – Since mid-January, five ladies raised well over $5,000 for their friend Alex Sanders, who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.

Ashley Pieracini, Brooke Woods, Lindsey Mowrey, Jennifer Keel, and Christine Davey each had a goal to raise at least $1,000 for the Sanders family by January 31st, and if the goal was met they would shave their heads.

Yesterday, Tammy Green at the Muse in Lander shaved the heads of the four local ladies, and Jennifer, who lives in New Mexico, had her head shaved there.

Brooke initiated the social media campaign fundraiser, and the four other ladies quickly jumped on board to help their friend.

“Alex is a big part of the law enforcement community as well as the hunting community,” shared Brooke.

“Alex has impacted our lives in different ways and we are so happy to be able to support her.”

While their campaign has wrapped up, you can still donate to the Sanders family at Atlantic City Federal Credit Union – a donation account has been set up under Alex and Mark Sanders.

Tammy shared, “I am so blessed I got to be part of this.”
