#ABetterBlueSky: Drone video shows latest highway improvements

A look at the Blue Sky Highway (WY-132) project on the Wind River Indian Reservation was captured earlier this month via drone.

The aerial perspective shows new alignments in the highway and the construction around Wyoming Indian Elementary School and Wyoming Indian High School.

The project is estimated to cost $14.63 million and includes the stretch between Ethete and the U.S. 287 turnoff. The prime contractor for the project is High Country Construction Inc. of Lander.

Construction includes grading, draining, milling, asphalt pavement, placing gravel pit run and crushed gravel, asphalt paving, chip sealing, and electrical work on a seven-mile stretch. The project is slated for completion at the end of October 2019.
