    8 Arapaho Charter High School graduates honored Friday

    (Arapahoe, WY) – The Arapaho Charter High School commencement ceremony was held Friday, May 21st. Eight students received their diplomas during the celebration.

    The evening began with a processional to the Honor Song from the Littlebrave Drum Group. The students were led into the gymnasium by the Arapaho Color Guard and Arapahoe School Dance Society.

    Tribal Elder Ray Underwood gave the Arapaho Blessing and the Keynote Speaker this year was Reinette Tendore. Fremont County School District #38 Board of Trustees Chairwoman Leslie Spoonhunter spoke on behalf of the Trustees. Superintendent Roy Brown along with Principal Katie Law also addressed the students.

    It was noted during the ceremony that this year’s graduating class has the largest number of students going directly to college. Five students shared they plan to go to college after high school; the listed areas of study range from zoology to nursing.

    The Class of 2021 motto is by Anatole France: “To accomplish great things, we must not only act but also dream, not only plan but also believe.” Their class flower is the white rose and their song is “I Lived” by One Republic.
