(Torrington, WY) – Jerry Tapp died Monday, October 4th, 2021, at the Community Hospital in Torrington, according to a press release from the Wyoming Department of Corrections (WDOC).
Tapp was convicted of aggravated assault and battery/attempt to injure with a weapon in Sheridan County, and sentenced to six to ten years by Fourth District Court Judge Fenn on June 1, 2021.
Tapp was born on May 23, 1942, in Curlew, IA.
“Per WDOC policy an autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of death,” their release states. “WDOC does not release protected health information.”
