    4 current hospitalizations, 13 deaths, 423 recovered; the latest COVID update from the local incident team

    UPDATE on 8/21: The Fremont County Incident Management Team clarified that if you are inside with groups to maintain 6 feet of separation. Not 10 feet as they stated earlier.

    The Fremont County Incident Management Team released a local COVID-19 update today, August 20th.

    Current Statistics for Fremont County COVID-19 Fremont County:

    • 486 Total Tested Positive
    • 423 Recovered 
    • 58 New positive tests within last two weeks
    • 13 Deaths due to COVID-19
    • 4.21% Percentage of positives to total tests last two weeks (down from 4.9% prior 2 weeks)
    • 4 Current Hospitalizations due to COVID-19

    All municipalities in Fremont County are experiencing an increase in positive COVID-19 cases. Recent situations where social distancing and other health guidance are not being adhered to are driving the increase in positive test numbers.

    If you are inside with groups, please maintain 6 feet of separation minimum, wear a mask, and continue sanitation discipline. Also please call public health at (307) 857-3677 or (307) 856-6979 if you have symptoms.

    Disease symptoms which may appear 2 to 14 days after exposure, include fever, cough, shortness of breath of difficulty breathing, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and new loss of taste or smell.

    Older residents and people with certain health conditions have a higher risk of developing more serious illness.
