All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Christopher Nelson, 38, of Fremont County, is facing one count conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine and one count delivery of methamphetamine.
The charges are related to an investigation by the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) between March 1, 2018, and November 30, 2018. On June 27th, 2019, Nelson waived his preliminary hearing and the case is being transferred to District Court.
Court documents describe several text message conversations between Nelson and other persons. Those text message conversations allegedly conclude Nelson conspired to deliver methamphetamine and delivered methamphetamine in Fremont County.
Nelson is being charged with:
- One count conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine (felony) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for not more than 20 years, a fine of not more than $25,000 or both.
- One count delivery of methamphetamine (felony) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for not more than 20 years, a fine of not more than $25,000 or both.
