35-year-old Fremont County resident facing two counts involving theft

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Corinne Atkin, 35, of Fremont County, is facing one count conspiracy to commit theft and one count theft.

The charges are related to events that allegedly happened between April 18, 2019 and April 30, 2019. Atkin waived her preliminary hearing on July 31st, 2019. The case is now being transferred to District Court.

Court documents breakdown charges from a credit card that was reported stolen in Lander on May 8th, 2019. A total of five individuals allegedly made unauthorized purchases on this credit card. It is reported the charges Atkin was seen on video making at businesses total $859.60.

County 10 has not received any additional information about the other suspects.

Atkin is being charged with:

  • One count conspiracy to commit theft (felony) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for not more than 10 years, a fine of not more than $10,000 or both.
  • One count theft (misdemeanor) has a maximum penalty of imprisonment for not more than 180 days, a fine of not more than $750 or both.
