(Wind River Reservation, WY) – Last week, the BIA Office of Justice Services announced Wind River Police Officers Danielle White, Chris Chavis, and Dalton Ward all received “the prestigious BIA Medal of Valor for their heroic acts.”
These officers were presented with this award in September on behalf of the BIA Indian Police Academy and BIA District 5 Office, according to the announcement.
“The Medal of Valor is awarded to employees who distinguish themselves conspicuously by gallantry and intrepidity at the risk of their lives [go]
above and beyond the call of duty.”
