3 COVID-related inmate deaths reported by WDOC

As of Friday March 26th, the number of COVID-19 positive cases has reached 16 across all 5 Wyoming Department of Corrections facilities, and there are now 3 COVID-related deaths.

The spike in numbers is largely due to the 14 cases (13 inmate, 1 staff) reported at the Wyoming Honor Farm in Riverton. 2 more cases, both staff, were reported at the Wyoming State Penitentiary as well.

Working with the Wyoming Department of Health, all positive inmate cases are medically monitored and managed by the Department and our health care provider (Corizon Health, Inc.) in accordance with CDC guidelines. The Department continues to conduct rigorous surveillance testing at all sites as necessary and will provide additional information as it becomes available.
