    2,800 Lander residents left without power during Thursday night outage

    (Lander, WY) – Fire crews were dispatched for a report of a downed power line in the 700 block of Main Street in Lander on Thursday, August 19th, at 11:34 PM.

    Lander Volunteer Fire Department crews found a main power distribution line down, and a large portion of the town very dark.

    Rocky Mountain Power outage notification site estimated that 2800 customers were without power.

    Fire crews secured the scene as they stood by for utility crews, and power was eventually restored to most customers by 3:00 AM early Friday morning.
