All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
Dodi Carpenter, 28, of Fremont County, pleaded “not guilty” to the following five charges in District Court on October 23rd, 2019.
Two counts of sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree and one count attempt to commit sexual abuse of a minor in the first degree both are felonies with maximum penalties of imprisonment for no more than 50 years. One count sexual abuse of a minor in the second degree also a felony with a maximum sentence of imprisonment for no more than 20 years. One count unlawful contact, which is a misdemeanor and has a maximum penalty of imprisonment of not more than 6 months; a fine of not more than $750; or both.

On September 7th, 2019, the Fremont County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a Fremont County residence for a reported sexual assault.
Carpenter allegedly sexually assaulted a minor female in the early morning hours of September 7th and later that day sent text messages to the girl about previous assaults and “wanting to do it again.”
According to court documents, Carpenter has allegedly sexually assaulted her multiple times since approximately 2012.
The ‘Order After Arraignment’ signed by District Court Judge Marvin Tyler on November 5th, 2019, states there will be a trial for this case. The next hearing is set for January 2020.
