1/4 of arrests Friday-Sunday between the Riverton Police Department, Lander Police Department, and Fremont County Sheriff’s Office were for driving under the influence.

Each of the three agencies that report their arrests to us had two DUI’s a piece. The Bureau of Indian Affairs does not release their arrests or call log.

LPD arrested 5 people total this weekend. Aside from DUI’s, they arrested one for trespassing, one for minor in possession and interference, and one for a warrant. Fremont County Sheriff’s arrested 7 total. Two people were arrested for domestic batter, two for probation revocation, and one for a bond violation. RPD arrested 12 this weekend. Aside from the DUI’s, four were arrested for use or possession of a controlled substance, one was arrested for public intoxication, three for warrants, one for probation revocation, and one for interference and driving under suspension.

Fremont County authorities are continuing heavy enforcement of driving under the influence. A meeting to discuss new enforcement policies is set for Tuesday in Riverton.
