The Lander Chamber of Commerce held its 2020 Community Awards Luncheon today, February 21st, at the Lander Community and Convention Center. The awards are given to businesses and individuals who are “doing extraordinary things for our community and economy.”
While attendees ate lunch, Lander Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Owen Sweeney and Lander Chamber of Commerce Vice President Michelle Mazur welcomed everyone to this year’s luncheon. Following their warm welcome and introductions of the Lander Chamber Board Members, Owen presented the awards to the winners in each of the seven following categories.
Beautification (Outstanding business appearance) – Gannett Peak Sports
Rookie of the Year (Innovation and creativity) – Alpha Recreation Center
Spirit of Lander (Ignites enthusiasm through participation) – Paul Guschewsky
Ambassador of the Year (Exceptional Lander Ambassador) – Leonard Yost
Past President (Outgoing President of the Chamber of Commerce) – Susan Wiedeman
Lifetime Contribution (Long-standing community commitment) – Bill Sniffin
Anchor (Survived the challenge of time) – Lander Children’s Museum
The event culminated with Keynote Speaker Dr. Kevin Courville, M.D. sharing the expansion of the Wind River Heart Clinic, and the advanced medical technology coming to Fremont County. You can learn more about both of those by clicking here.
