2017 Wind River War Staff Symposium and Youth Winter Retreat
The Fort Peck Assiniboine and Sioux Tribes of Montana created a War Staff after a recent surge of Methamphetamine abuse in their community.
This War Staff has been passed to all the Montana and Wyoming tribes in an effort to help combat alcohol and drug abuse. The War Staff has traveled to all the Montana tribes and each tribe has held a symposium, empowering their communities to stand up and fight drugs and alcohol.
The Eastern Shoshone Recovery Center and the White Buffalo Recovery Center would like to announce the 2017 Wind River War Staff Symposium and Youth Winter Retreat scheduled for December 28th, 2017 to January 1, 2018 at the Inn in Lander, Wyoming.
The Wind River War Staff Symposium, December 28th and 29th, 2017, is open to all community members free of charge. The Wind River Unity Council - Winter Retreat starts on December 30th, 31st, 2017 and January 1st, 2018. It is open to youth 11-24 years old.
