The Lander Police Department (LPD) received a report about a vehicle with two occupants that struck and dislodged a post to the Oxbow Restaurant entrance on Macfarlane Drive at around 2:00 am today, February 24th.

The driver reportedly continued onto Main Street at a high rate of speed for unknown reasons, LPD explained. They remained westbound on Main Street before crashing into a rock wall and tree near 10th Street.

One occupant is a 42-year-old male from California. His name has not been released. The female occupant is still unknown at this time, according to both LPD and Wyoming Highway Patrol (WHP).

The male was flown to Casper for medical treatment, and the female was flown to Salt Lake City. Both are in critical condition.

This incident remains under investigation with both LPD and WHP. County 10 will share an update if more information becomes available.
