    2 fatalities reported in crash north of Riverton Friday

    (Riverton, WY) – Just before 10:30 am on Friday, February 26th a fatal one-vehicle rollover was reported near milepost 8 on Wyoming 134 (Missouri Valley Road). Wyoming Highway Patrol released the following information about the crash today, March 1st.

    The vehicle was traveling westbound on the highway when the driver crossed the centerline and entered the eastbound lane, according to WHP. The driver overcorrected to the right and back to the left before the car rolled over. 

    “The occupants who were fatally injured in the crash have been identified as 25-year-old Saint Stephens, Wyoming resident Janelle V. Warren and 30-year-old Fort Washakie, Wyoming resident Kyle B. White. White and Warren were not wearing seatbelts and succumbed to their injuries at the scene of the crash.

    “The other vehicle occupants have been identified as 27-year-old Saint Stephens, Wyoming resident Tristan L. Yellowplume and 18-year-old Lander, Wyoming resident Redmoon S. Prior. Yellowplume and Prior were not wearing seatbelts and transported to the SageWest Riverton for injuries sustained in the crash.

    “The investigation is still ongoing to determine who was driving the vehicle. Speed is being investigated as a potential contributing factor.”

    The number of fatalities on Wyoming’s roadways in 2021 is now reported as 17. Compared to 11 in 2020, 18 in 2019, and 10 in 2018 to date.
