$15K donated to help establish Riverton Boys & Girls Club by High Plains Power, matched funds

(Riverton, WY) – High Plains Power, along with funds matched by both Basin Electric Cooperative and CoBank, donated $15,000 to the Boys & Girls Club of Central Wyoming. This donation was made in honor of the late Hearley Dockham, a longtime board member.

In May of 2021, the High Plains Board of Directors authorized a donation as a way to help establish the Boys & Girls Club of Riverton which is scheduled to open on August 23rd.

“The BGCCW is already established within the service territory and we see this donation to help with the betterment of the communities we serve,” High Plains Power said in a press release. “In addition, we were able to receive matching donations to increase the $5,000 donation from our cooperative to a $15,000 donation to the BGCCW.”

High Plains Power is a rural not-for-profit electric cooperative serving eight Wyoming counties, located in central Wyoming. We strive to run our cooperative based on the seven cooperative principles and we are governed by a board of directors that are elected and live within our territory.
