#10Life: School’s out, let the local summer fun commence

(Fremont County, WY) – The weather is warm, the grass is currently green, and the birds are singing. This can only mean a handful of things and since school just got out, it has to be summer.

If you are anything like me, and typically don’t have a plan for the summer besides the “we’ll play it by ear” plan. We compiled a list, of what we will call inspiration, for things to do in Fremont County this summer.

Expel energy with: Baseball, softball, soccer, tennis, basketball, golf, rodeo, volleyball, rock climbing, paddling, hiking, swimming, cycling…the list goes on!

Explore local gems like: Castle Gardens Petroglyph Site, Sinks Canyon, museums, Gannett Peak, South Pass, Cirque of the Towers, Union Pass, or go to a town you haven’t been to ever (or for a really long time).

Find a body of water: Boysen, Morton, Ocean, Frye, Worthen, Louis, Ray, Brooks, Ring, and so on. There are also numerous rivers and streams.

Summer programming: Join some of the classes offered by our local Parks and Recreation Departments or other organizations such as ‘R’ Recreation, Boys & Girls Club of Dubois and Eastern Shoshone Tribe.

Don’t forget about camping. Check out our earlier post here.

We know these lists are not comprehensive and there are SO MANY things to do in Fremont County on a regular basis. This summer is no exception with numerous events that are happening all across the 10.

Check out the County 10 events page for the latest and don’t forget to add any community events that are not listed. It’s totally free!
