This first-ever event for Riverton drew around 60 volunteers of all ages. Each person was tasked with a step in assembling a few dozen beds in only a few hours.
SHP is a nonprofit volunteer organization that builds beds for kids that are sleeping on the floor.
Today’s build happened at Riverton City Park where stations including sawing, sanding, drilling, dipping, branding, and more were set up across the pavement near the bandshell.
SHP Worland Chapter President Dan Frederick said they planned to build 40 beds.
“We have already delivered a large number of beds to children in Riverton,” Riverton Kiwanis shared. “However, the need is large!”
