#10Life: Over 50 local volunteers build beds for kids in need Saturday

(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton Kiwanis Club partnered with the Sleep In Heavenly Peace (SHP) Worland Chapter to build bunk beds for kids in need today, August 14th.

SHP is a nonprofit volunteer organization that builds beds for kids that are sleeping on the floor.

Today’s build happened at Riverton City Park where stations including sawing, sanding, drilling, dipping, branding, and more were set up across the pavement near the bandshell.

SHP Worland Chapter President Dan Frederick said they planned to build 40 beds.

“We have already delivered a large number of beds to children in Riverton,” Riverton Kiwanis shared. “However, the need is large!”
