#10Life: Local horse sanctuary featured on ‘Good Morning America’ Tuesday

#10life is County 10 series to share and celebrate everything that’s great about local life in Fremont County.

(Wind River Reservation, WY) – ABC’s show “Good Morning America” (GMA) launched a series this past spring called “Rise and Shine” where they set out to “visit all 50 states as the nation emerges from the coronavirus pandemic.”

It’s no surprise that their visit to Wyoming included Jackson Hole, however, they did travel to the 10 for a visit to the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary. The sanctuary is situated on the Double D Ranch and is owned and operated by the Oldham Family.

“Since 2016, the Wind River Wild Horse Sanctuary invites visitors to learn about wild mustangs, Native American culture, and experience life on a working ranch on the Wind River Reservation,” according to their website.

Check out the video below that was released by GMA on August 24th. It should begin playing at the portion about the sanctuary. If not, it begins at about 3:16.
