If you’re like our County 10 team – you’re probably still trying to figure out where January went. But, now that we’re onto February, for some of us it’s on to Valentine’s Day preparations.
Whether you’re married, dating, single, or just up for a good time, here’s a few options for some County 10 fun!

    #1 – Romantic Dinner

Fremont County has seen a handful of new higher-end restaurants open up recently. Try one of the new restaurants or perhaps and old favorite is on the Valentine’s agenda. Just remember your reservations ahead of time!

    #2 – Attend a Murder Mystery

The 3rd annual Murder Mystery Night at the Museum is set February 14th. Guests should RSVP at 856-2665 or get more information here.

#3 – Attend the annual “Men Who Cook” night

Riverton’s Men Who Cook event is set for February 15th this year, starting at 6:00 p.m. Local celebrities prepare dishes, silent auctions, games, and much more help benefit the Dolly Parton Imagination Library. The event is held at the Fremont County Fairgrounds, more details here.

    #4 – Movie Night

Barry Cinemas in Riverton and Lander give you a wide variety of new films to choose from on the big screen. Check the listings here before you go. Or, you can make it an at-home date with a trip to Redbox.

    #5 – Take a FreCo Road Trip

Valentine’s weekend might be a good one to see an area of the state you haven’t for a while. We have access to several nice day trips in County 10. Head up Sinks Canyon and feed the fish, travel up to Dubois and see their new businesses, or head over to Thermopolis for the day and enjoy the Wind River Canyon.

#6 – Play In The Snow

If you’re into the outdoors, get bundled up and head outdoors. There’s plenty of opportunities to ski, snowshoe, snowmobile, fat bike, and much more. Pending weather, some hiking trails may be accessible across County 10.

    #7 – Ice Skating

Riverton’s Tonkin Stadium and Lander’s City Park are home to top notch outdoor ice skating facilities. Hit up the one that’s easiest to get to or, plan to try them both out!

    #8 – Spa Day

It’s hard to beat a nice relaxing day at one of our local spas, or treat your loved one to a day of relaxation. Maybe you’re due for a massage or would love to get your nails done?

#9 – Go see the Golden Dragon Acrobats

Okay, we’re cheating here a bit, they don’t actually preform until February 19th, but it is worth noting! World renowned impresario and choreographers combine for acrobatics, traditional dance, colorful costumes and more. The event is at Lander Valley High School starting at 7:00 p.m., more details here.

    #10 – Take a staycation

It might sound silly to get a hotel when you’re close to home, but many find it enjoyable. There are several unique hotels around Fremont County for a quick change of pace. It may not be the vacation you’re dreaming of, but one night away can provide some R&R.
