(Riverton, Wyo.) – Eleven senior athletes from Riverton High School have announced their commitment to attend college and play their respective individual sports at the next level.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – It was a festive afternoon at Riverton High School’s Wolverine Stadium when members of each sports team gathered last week to display the trophies won in their cross-county rivalry with Lander during the past 2014-15 sports season. It was a rare “clean sweep” in all the sports where the two teams played for a commemorative trophy.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The IDEAL (Individual Development of Educational Ability Level) Work Program at Riverton High School this week recognized community employers who have participated in the program.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Did you know that Riverton has “haunting” stories and locations? Just how haunted is Riverton? A Riverton High School English Class took on the assignment of finding out, and they are about to release their findings. The results will be made public Friday night.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Caleb Richmond, a senior at Riverton High School and member of National Honor Society, has been named one of 200 finalists in the National Honor Society Scholarship from the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP). These 200 finalists were first chosen from among nearly 6,800 applicants. Each finalist receives a $1,000 college scholarship.
(Washington, D.C.) – A group of high school students and their sponsors from Riverton is in Washington, D.C. this week participating in the Close Up Program, getting a first hand look at the National Capitol and the workings of the Federal Government.
Students in one of Mr. Alma Law’s English classes at Riverton High school are working on a historical walking tour project for the city of Riverton. Finding difficulty in locating local historical information via the internet, a student representing his classmates contacted the Riverton Museum to find out more about some of the historical buildings in Riverton.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The head basketball coach at Riverton High School has submitted his resignation. Dick Quayle announced his intention in a letter to Superintendent Terry Snyder and the FCSD#25 Trustees this past week.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The inaugural class of the Riverton High School Hall of Fame has been announced by Assistant Principal and Activities Director Jeremy Hill. The initial class was chosen by a diverse group of school and community members. The selections were made from nominations received from the community.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – It’s called the Ron Thon and it draws the best wrestlers from all classes from throughout Wyoming. It has been called the best tournament in the state and is a preview of the state wrestling championships. The 16th annual Ron Thon Memorial Wrestling Tournament is staged at Riverton High School and Riverton Middle Schools Friday and Saturday.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Riverton High School Skills USA students put on a car show Thursday night at the James H. Moore Career Center inside the RHS Garage.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees Tuesday night approved three new classes for Riverton High School at the James H. Moore Career Center.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The annual Thanksgiving Dinner deliveries for the community conducted by the Riverton High School Key Club was in high gear this morning at the James H. Moore Career Center.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – Four programs at Riverton High School and one at the Alternative School were given permission for out-of-state travel Tuesday night in action at the regular school trustees meeting.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – A near capacity crowd witnessed the homecoming game with Buffalo Friday night at Riverton High School. But the game was just one activity at Wolverine Field. The RHS band performed their marching band competition number, the RHS Dance Team and RHS Cheerleaders had big field performances, and the Homecoming Royalty had a ride around the track in ATVs to the cheers of the big crowd.
