(Arapahoe, Wyo.) – Twylah Dewey age 59, passed away Sunday June 28, 2015 at the Davis Hospital in Layton Utah.  She was born May 22, 1956 in Riverton, Wyoming the daughter of Sylvia Marie Brown Dewey and the late George Anthony Dewey Sr.

Elizabeth “Liz” Valdez

Joetta Yardas

(Lander, Wyo.) – Joetta Yardas died Tuesday, June 23, at Wyoming Medical Center in Casper.
A celebration of life service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, July 3, at the Lander United Methodist Church.
She came to Lander with her parents in 1936, and she graduated from Fremont County Vocational High School in 1948.
In 1948, she married Charles C. Yardas.
Her family said she fulfilled her role as a wife, mother and friend with dignity, honesty and enthusiasm.
She is survived by her husband; sons Chuck Jr., Mike and Rocky; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and five sisters

Brandii Sherine Potter

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Brandii Sherine Potter, 46, died on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at her home after a three year struggle with brain cancer. (Riverton, Wyo.) – Robert “Bob” D. Strickler, Sr., 84, of Riverton, died on Monday, June 22, 2015, at Sage West Hospital-Riverton. A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church at 10:00 am. Inurnment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Funeral services for Kathryn Kelsey, 89, will be held 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 29, 2015 at Davis Funeral Home with Robin Stupka officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at a later date at Freeland Cemetery near Casper, Wyoming.

Robert Edwin Vandervort

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Long time Riverton resident, Robert Edwin Vandervort died at age 97 on Friday, June 19th. He was born February 4, 1918 in Tomah, Wisconsin the son of Robert M. and Inez (Lobe) Vandervort. Most of Bob’s childhood was spent in Tomah, however, the family moved to Pierre, South Dakota just before his senior year where his father managed the local Indian School. Bob graduated from Pierre High School in 1936. Following graduation, he moved to Rapid City where he attended Rapid City Business College and worked in a local bank as a teller. It was there that he met his wife, Cleo Schultz. They were married September 7, 1941.

Annie Elizabeth Rood

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Funeral services for Annie Elizabeth Rood, 88, will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 26, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Pastor Vernon Boehlke officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 25th at Davis Funeral Home from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

(Riverton, Wyo.) A memorial service for Katherine R. Wright, will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 25th at St. Margaret’s Catholic Church with Father Demetrio Penascoza officiating. Graveside military rites will be accorded by the Friday-Truan Detachment #683 Marine Corp League & Veterans at Mountain View Cemetery. Cremation has taken place.

(Ethete, Wyo.) – Richard Anthony Antelope, “Ceniibeeteenit” (Man with No Bow), 89, of Ethete, Wyoming, passed away on June 21, 2015 at the Wyoming Medical Center in Casper. A visitation will be held at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 and a Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. at Blue Sky Hall and then will be moved to the family home at 566 Ethete Road. George West Shakespeare

(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) -George West Shakespeare “Heeyei Cebkohut”-Running Hawk, was born 12/03/36 to Elizabeth Underwood and West Shakespeare in Fort Washakie, Wyoming.  He grew up in Ethete, Wyoming in the Catholic faith.  He joined the US Air Force in 1957 completing basic training at Lackland Air Base, Texas,  advanced training in Springfield, Illinois, and became a jet engine mechanic in Portsmouth, New Hampshire where he honorably discharged in 1960.

“Wox Tebe’eihoo” – Alonzo Moss, Sr.

(Ethete, Wyo.) – Alonzo Moss, Sr. “Wox Tebe’eihoo’” was born June 30, 1938 in Fort Washakie, Wyoming to Moses Paul Moss and Wyoma Bitner Moss.  He passed away on June 2, 2015 at his family home in Ethete, Wyoming.  Alonzo married Gladys Caroline Goggles-Moss on February 8, 1958 in Lander, Wyoming. The wake services will be held at Blue Sky Hall in Ethete on Friday, June 5 with Funeral services 10:00 am, on Saturday, June 6, 2015 Also in Blue Sky Hall.  Burial will be at St. Michaels Mission in Ethete.
