(Lander, Wyo.) – Yesterday evening motorists in Lander might have seen a group of 30-40 cyclists riding through town, all with helmets. The ride was the local iteration of a national awareness event called Ride of Silence.
(Lander, Wyo.) – With the change of seasons, the Lander Cycling Club said summer riding season is here. Registration is now open for the club’s 2014 Fremont Area Road Tour (F.A.R.T.), to be held on Saturday, June 14th. The ride begins at Lander’s City Park. Registration is $35 for cycling club members and $45 for non-members. This includes breakfast, ride support, a tech t-shirt, a swag bag, and a post-ride barbecue. Those who sign up early qualify for the discounted prices! This year also has a family-friendly route.
(Lander, Wyo.) – Fremont County children will know more about bike safety thanks to a contribution from the Lander Cycling Club. “We received a check from the Fremont Area Road Tour for our safety rodeos and to advocate for helmet safety through out the community,” said Noel Cooper, the Safety Education Coordinator with Injury Prevention Resources. “So they generously donated to us, to assure all of the communities stay safe and to partner with us to make sure kids are wearing helmets and kids are remaining safe on Fremont County roads.”
