Fremont County Democratic Party elects leaders; Riverton man is new chairman

(Lander, Wyo.-—Democrats from across Fremont County came together in Lander Saturday to elect officers, participate in a panel discussion with leaders from the Wind River Indian Reservation and to plan for the Wyoming Democratic Party’s statewide re-organization meeting in Riverton on April 25th.

Fremont County Democratic Party Plans Picnic to introduce candidates; Pete Gosar to be there

(Hudson, Wyo.) –  Fremont County Democrats will gather for an election year picnic this Sunday, July 20 at 4 p.m. at the Hudson Town Park.
All Democratic Party candidates for Fremont County races are encouraged to attend and share their thoughts and plans. Pete Gosar, candidate for Wyoming governor, has confirmed his attendance.The Fremont County Democratic Party will provide hamburgers, hot dogs and soft drinks;  picnic goers are asked to bring a side dish to share.
“We are looking forward to a good turn-out for this event,” said Bruce Palmer, Fremont County Democratic Party Chair. “We have some very strong candidates and are looking at a Republican Party rife with infighting and controversy. Our local Democratic Party has made real strides this year with organization, outreach and enthusiasm. It is time to celebrate as we gear up for the election season.”

Joe McCarthy and two other U.S. Senators will face charges in a mock trial in Lander next Wednesday, June 26

(Lander, Wyo.) – Three former members of the United States Senate will go “on trial” in Lander next week for their alleged roles in the 1954 suicide of Lander citizen, U.S. Senator Lester Hunt. Senators Joseph McCarthy (R-Wisconsin), Styles Bridges (R-New Hampshire) and Herman Welker (R-Idaho), all deceased, are “charged” with blackmailing the Wyoming senator. Hunt died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on June 19, 1954.

(Hudson, Wyo.) – At the Sunday, April 21, 2013 meeting of the Fremont County Democratic Party at the Hudson Town Hall, Representative Patrick Goggles joined the group and presented a formal report on the recently concluded legislative session. County Democrats elect Bruce Palmer its new chair; Other officers, party positions filled


(Lander, Wyo.) – The Fremont County Democratic Party gathered on Sunday March 24th in Lander to conduct its election of officers. Lander resident Bruce Palmer was selected as chair and Sherry Shelley of Riverton will be the group’s vice-chair. Gena Robinson was elected secretary and Michael Crosby will be the group’s treasurer. Robinson and Crosby both reside in Lander.

County Democrats to choose leadership on March 24th in Lander

Fre Co Dems(Lander, Wyo.) – Fremont County Democrats will meet Sunday, March 24th at 4:00 p.m. at 291 Cascade Street in Lander for the county party’s biennial elections. The party will elect a Chairperson, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and the Fremont County State Committeeman and State Committeewoman. The elected offers and Committeeman and woman will serve as the executive team for the Fremont County Democrats County Central Committee for the next two years.
