Two members of the Eastern Shoshone Business Council and the Tribe’s Attorney General were reportedly removed from office on votes taken by the Tribe’s General Council this past weekend. According to numerous reports, ESBC members Ivan Posey and Wes Martel were ousted from their positions along with the Tribe’s Attorney General, Kimberly D. Varilek.

(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) – Fort Washakie, Lander Rural and other Battalions are being called to an abandoned house fully engulfed in flames on Tapay Drive north of Fort Washakie.
(Lander, Wyo.) – A 20-year-old Fort Washakie man faces seven criminal charges after nearly causing a late-night wreck with a Lander Police Officer and fleeing from officers when a traffic stop was attempted.

EPA jurisdiction ruling topic in Monday Select Committee on Tribal Relations meeting in Fort Washakie
(Fort Washakie, Wyo.) – During Wyoming State Legislature Select Committee on Tribal Relations meeting on Monday will be one of the first official meetings where the jurisdiction issues raised by the EPA’s ruling that Riverton and other portions of northern Fremont County are Indian Country.
