CWC President Chris Valdez: “This is where you can realize your dreams”

(Riverton, Wyo.) – For the first time in a quarter century, Central Wyoming College inaugurated a new college president Thursday morning. Board Chairman Charlie Krebs of Lander officially handed over the college’s seal to Dr. Cristobal “Chris” Valdez at the college’s annual convocation, marking the beginning of not only the academic year, but the start of his administration. Valdez is the sixth president in the college’s history. He succeeded Dr. JoAnne McFarland, who had served as the CWC President since 1989.

But that didn’t keep them from encouraging Levin to take advantage of such opportunities that came her way. “They rued their lack of formal education, urging me to study hard and do well; guidance I took to heart,” Levin recalls.
