Riverton School Board member concerned over District 25’s history curriculum, says it’s slipped in last decade

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The trustees of Fremont County School District #25 will have a 30 minute work session preceding its regular December meeting tonight. The agenda is packed full of organizational items for the next year, including election of officers, accepting the district’s annual audit, setting the school calendar for the next two school years and approval of coaches.
CWC Student Ambassadors helping with food drive for Riverton Middle School; Peanut butter and Jelly requested
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Student Ambassadors at Central Wyoming College are helping Riverton Middle School in their annual food drive this fall. The Student Ambassadors are responsible for collecting jars of peanut butter and jars of jelly. The drive ends this Friday.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Riverton High School is looking for volunteers from the community to work with students on Wednesday, Dec. 4th for a “We The People” simulated congressional hearing contest.
(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees will be meeting in regular session Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with a light agenda. In advance of the regular meeting, the trustees will hold a work session at 5:30 to begin discussing how to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the Riverton Schools. An idea has been advanced for a District Hall of Fame.

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Fremont County School District #25 is at least three years away from an alternative school calendar, the school board was told Tuesday night.
District #25 now has land for new school site under contract; SFC agreed to purchase price last week
(Riverton, Wyo.) – School District #25 received approval and $408,200 from the Wyoming School Facilities Commission last week and now has a parcel of land on West Monroe under contract for a new elementary school. The update on negotiations for the land purchase was made by Superintendent Terry Snyder at Tuesday night’s school board meeting.
