School District #25 to hold its annual organizational meeting tonight; Audit to be accepted

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The trustees of Fremont County School District #25 will have a 30 minute work session preceding its regular December meeting tonight. The agenda is packed full of organizational items for the next year, including election of officers, accepting the district’s annual audit, setting the school calendar for the next two school years and approval of coaches.

District #25 Hall of Fame to be discussed at school board session Tuesday

(Riverton, Wyo.) – The Fremont County School District #25 Board of Trustees will be meeting in regular session Tuesday night at 7 p.m. with a light agenda. In advance of the regular meeting, the trustees will hold a work session at 5:30 to begin discussing how to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the Riverton Schools. An idea has been advanced for a District Hall of Fame.

Singer, Songwriter Andy Hackbarth teaching in Lander schools this week; PALS sponsors the visit

(Lander, Wyo.) – Award-winning, Denver-based folk singer, songwriter, and guitarist Andy Hackbarth is in Lander this week conducting workshops at local schools.  On Monday he led song-writing workshops with Lander Valley High School’s 10th grade Language Arts students and choir students.  He also visited Christian Cornerstone School.  Today (Tuesday), Andy spent the day with physical science and physics students at LVHS discussing the science of music.  Wednesday, he will be at Lander Middle School teaching math and music workshops to 8th grade algebra students.
