BREAKING: Riverton Police investigating discovery of a body on High School Hill

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Riverton Police investigators are at the scene where a body was found this afternoon along the canal in the 200 block of West Main, according to Police Captain Eric Murphy. Murphy said the scene was in the vicinity of the Riverton Chamber of Commerce and near a water tower . The site has been cordoned off and the coroner’s office has been notified. Murphy said the body “apparently has been there awhile,” but no other details are being released pending further investigation.

UPDATE: Community Center Fire Out; No Injuries; Investigation Begins

(Lander, Wyo.)  – County 10 News Desk – At this hour, crews are working to clear the scene of a fire that destroyed the Lander Community Center, one of the city’s  landmarks. The cause of the blaze is still unknown and the investigation is getting underway. Fire officials confirmed that there were no injuries sustained during the incident. County 10’s Victoria Fregoso reported that one employee was inside setting up tables when he said he, “smelled smoke and called 911.” His red pickup truck was parked in front of the building and was badly damaged from the roaring flames. Crews are tearing down what is left of the structure now.

BREAKING NEWS: Quite literally, St. Sen. Cale Case breaks collar bone in bicycle crash in Turkey

(Lander, Wyo.) – Friends of St. Sen. Cale Case of Lander began receiving emails from the vacationing lawmaker today, relating details of a bicycle crash in which the Lander man suffered a broken collar bone and a slight concussion while touring in Turkey. Fortunately for Case, his bicycling partners included orthopedic surgeons.
