TACTICAL UPDATE: from Wind River Outdoor Company
Let’s face it: Everyone and their dog is fighting for their share of the gun market. That includes the tactical folks. With the uptick in military style firearms, it seems that there are an infinite number of doo-dads and thingamabobs out there designed to make you a better shooter. Some of it is hype, and some actually have the nuts and bolts to get you closer to the bullseye. Here’s a few that go beyond “Tacticool” and have real world application AND ALL OF THESE FIREARMS ARE IN STOCK NOW!
This is the go-to gun for US Special Operations. Although they’ve taken away the full-auto for the consumer version, it features all the other goodies of the original for today’s civilian Operator. Chambered in 5.56×45, ammo is readily available and comes standard with a free floated cold-hammer forged chrome lined 16” barrel. Controls are fully ambidextrous and it features a side-folding adjustable stock, allowing the weapon to be used by nearly any individual in any position. Picatinny Rails at the 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions offer plenty of real estate for accessories of all sorts.
The Kel-Tec KSG shotgun is one of the best (and coolest) tactical shotguns on the market today. A shortened bullpup design and dual magazine tubes allow the user to cram up to 15 rounds of 2.75” 12ga ammo in a very compact package (under 7lbs and 26.1” long). Whether you’re clearing houses or lighting up targets on the range, you won’t find anything else with as much firepower on any platform.
Sig P320 Sig Sauer released the P320 a couple years ago and it has been a hit among serious gun owners. It also received a nod from the US government this spring as the new sidearm for the Army, dethroning the Beretta M9 after over three decades of use. These are modular framed pistols, allowing the user to swap grip sizes, barrels, even calibers depending on the situation. While these have been somewhat difficult to procure lately, due to production being diverted to fill military the military contracts, we’ve got a number of them in stock right now in various sizes, calibers, and configurations.
The Sig P320Rx Compact comes with all the great features of the standard P320s, but also comes mounted with the Sig Sauer Romeo1 reflex sight. This lightweight sight features a 3 moa red dot, top-loading battery, and turns on automatically when it senses motion. The pistol also features slightly taller Night Sights, allowing the iron sights to be used in conjunction with the red dot.
Similarly, the TacOps P320 Full size comes fully loaded and ready for action. In addition to the standard P320 specs, it comes with a fiber optic front night sight, SigLite rear night sight, and 4 – 21 round magazines. The longer sight radius will also add in getting shots on target. Simply put, this beast is made to sling copious amounts of lead downrange, quickly and accurately.
