Can You Afford to Live to 100?

(Riverton, Wyo.) – Here’s an interesting statistic: Over the past three decades, the centenarian population in the United States has grown about 66%, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Of course, this doesn’t necessarily mean that you have a good chance of living to 100 — but the possibility may not be as remote as it once was. In any case, if you do plan to retire in your mid-60s, and you are in good health, you may well have two, or even three, decades ahead of you. To enjoy this time to the fullest — and to help prevent the possibility of outliving your financial resources — you will need to invest for income and growth throughout your retirement years.

Rash of thefts from unlocked vehicles continues in Riverton, and now, Lander

(Riverton, Wyo.) – A rash of vehicle burglaries has been reported across the county in the past week. Most of the occurrences were in Riverton since last Tuesday, but Lander was hit this past weekend as well. Riverton Police Captain Eric Murphy said since last Tuesday there have been about 20 thefts from vehicles. In nearly every instance, with one lone exception, the vehicles were unlocked. The RPD again reminds residents to lock their vehicles, garages and houses when unattended and not to leave valuable items in plain sight inside an unattended vehicle.
