(Fremont County, Wyo.) – Flu season is officially upon us. There are high levels of influenza-related illness across the country right now. Currently, there are 1,411 cases of influenza in Wyoming and 100 cases in Fremont County.
(Statewide) – Testing is the only way to know how much of the invisible, potentially dangerous gas known as radon is present in Wyoming homes or workplaces, according to the Wyoming Department of Health.

In little more than a decade, the adult diabetes rate has almost doubled in Wyoming, leading to new Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) efforts to help limit the disease among Wyoming Medicaid clients and other state residents.

(Lander, Wyo.) – SageWest HealthCare in Lander is hosting a blood draw this Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The draw will take place in the hospital’s conference room and is by appointment.
(Lander, Wyo.) – Both the Wyoming Life Resource Center in Lander and the Wyoming State Hospital (WSH) in Evanston will gain new leadership as a result of Wyoming Department of Health (WDH) organizational changes.
(Fremont County, Wyo.) – The Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at SageWest Health Care in Riverton, a member of the Healogics network, is participating in the Healogics National Diabetes Campaign from Oct. 27-31. Staff at the wound care clinic will dedicate the entire week to visiting local physician offices to provide education to help staff identify diabetic patients with or at risk of having ulcers of the lower extremity. One of nearly 600 Healogics managed centers, the wound care clinic offers advanced therapies to patients suffering from chronic wounds like diabetic foot ulcers.
