Livingston Elementary students complete murals
The idea of a mural project at Livingston Elementary began as the school’s PTK (parents/teachers/kids) organization team discussed ways to make the school even more kid friendly.
This is the first three of potentially 5-6 more murals. The Livingston mural project has been Principal Mike Wood’s vision, and this vision is coming true. Marlene Stewart said it was a matter of generating enough enthusiasm to allow the project to take off. “The students are so excited to be a part of this,” said Stewart.
The first mural was created by local artist Doty Colling. She drew a flag and Buffalo to represent Wyoming, which second and fifth graders painted.
The second and third murals were designed by Ashley Hamon who is a teacher at Livingston School. Third and fourth graders and kindergarteners painted those.
Student Isaac Wood, a third grader, said he enjoyed being part of the project. Fourth grader Adrian Wood said she liked how everyone got to do something.
