    Donald David Hines

    Donald David Hines, 76, of Fort Washakie, died in Fort Washakie on June 6, 2019. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 am, Tuesday, June 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Mount Hope, Hudson’s Funeral Home.

    Don was born January 8, 1943 to Paul O and Marjorie Pomeroy Hines in Lander, Wyoming. Growing up he attended Fremont County Vocational High School graduating in 1961. He then attended Casper College and Bozeman State College.

    He was the owner of Hines General Store and the Wind River Trading Company. He was a member of the Wind River Indian Athletic Association. He was also a past member of the Ethete Pow-Wow, and Ethete Rodeo Committee. And for many years has been a proud sponsor of many events on the Wind River Indian Reservation.

    Don was preceded in death by his father, Paul Hines; mother, Marjorie Peg Hines; oldest brother, Paul Gary Hines; brother, William Llewellyn Hines Sr..

    His survivors include his loving wife, of 55 years, Sharon Marie Hines; sons, Dave (Roxanne) Hines, and Ben (Laurene) Hines; granddaughters, Peggen Josaphine Frank, Katie Elizabeth Hines, Jenna Faith Hines; brother for life, Rodger (Sally) Shipton; sister-in-laws, Wendy (Ken) Holden, and Mary Baily Hines; numerous nieces and nephews.

    Memorial Contributions may be made to the Richard Pogue, Post 81, Fort Washakie Wyoming or a charity of your choice.
